Projects, Projects, Projects! We Got Them Done!

Thanksgiving weekend and what are we doing, besides hanging out with Grandma T, we are doing school projects that are due when school resumes next week.  Tyson had to make a Diorama about his project on Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnakes. Here he is cutting out the landscape.
Simultaneously, as we were working on the school project, we were making the traditional gingerbread house with Grandma T.  This is the best part of having grandma come.  And we have gotten smarter over the years and have resorted to hot glueing the house together first, and then we put the icing and decorations on.  It works so much better, and we never eat them so it is a win win situation.
They were eyeing the house to see what candy needed to go where.
Then it was back to the school project.  We made a snake out of play dough and coiled it inside the diorama.
The finished gingerbread house.
Grandma T put the icicles on the house as an added feature.  Looks good huh?
And we finally finished the diorama.  You can't see all the little details we put in, but it was amazing.  I was so surprised that it looked as good as it did.  Yeah!  One more thing to cross off the TO DO list.
