Quick Vacation to Colorado

We jumped on an airplane Friday morning at the crack and headed across the country to WINDY Colorado.  If you cannot tell from the picture above, it was all we could do to stay standing upright.  The wind was horrible.  I forgot how bad it was.  Knoxville has spoiled us greatly.  We came back home to see Vaughn's brother who just got home from his mission a month ago.  The whole family came and we celebrated with lots of food, fun and family.
The first thing we did after driving up Grandma and Papa's driveway, was to quickly change clothes and head for a photo shoot with the cousins.  We never can figure out what to give Papa Jackson for any occasion, but we know he loves his grandchildren and his Coke, so what better gift to give him than a picture of the grand kids drinking Coke.
Everyone but Madelyn was into drinking a coke.  Even baby Olivia was loving the Coke.  Love the picture.
The next morning we loaded up all the cars and headed to Platoro to enjoy the next two days in the mountains.  We also took pictures in the majestic creations, all the while we were representing Tennessee.
This is all of Vaughn's family and their spouses.
Grandma and Papa with the grand kids.  Madelyn is screaming in every picture we took.
All of us.  When we get together there is a whole bunch of kids, attitudes and fun.  It has been known to produce fireworks among the siblings at times.
We went fishing up at Platoro Lake.  I do not like to fish.  I would rather hunt, but I didn't mind hanging out with my niece.
Olivia and Aunt Nicole.  She was my little buddy and didn't cry, even though she looks on the verge.
Jaelyn and Tyson.  These two cousins were born a week a part with Jaeyln coming in first.
The older cousins all decided to raid Papa's bed one morning.
Molly, Maggie, Cole, Taryn, Jaelyn, Tyson, Grace Ann, Becca.  All the older cousins ready to play in the mountains.
Ah!!!  I love the glory of the mountains.  It was so peaceful and smelled so clean and fresh.
We had a ball, even though we smelled like dirt, camp fire and bug spray.
Uncle Trey and Tyson.
Vaughn was a great babysitter with baby Olivia.  She was really good to let him hold her, unlike her sister Madelyn.
Tyson found a rock pile and was in heaven playing with the rocks and dirt.  I need this pile outside my house.  He was entertained for hours.
Papa Jackson has a Gator and Razor 4-wheeled ATVs.  The kids all loved to go and have rides with anyone who would take them.
Aunt Jennifer with Olivia and Madelyn.  She had these two shadows follow her around, until Aunt Nicole saved her and took Madelyn down to the creek to throw rocks.  We had a ball and I loved hanging out with my niece.
Tyson and Cole were inseparable. Cole loved doing anything Tyson was doing.  And they drank so much Coke.  More than I would have liked.  Every time I turned around Tyson had another one in his hand.  I was glad when it gave him a belly ache.  He didn't drink anymore after that.
Uncle Brett sneaking in a nap.
Taryn caught the first fish.  She was pleased as punch.
Tyson caught a fish too.
Fishing with Papa.
Taryn didn't want to touch the fish but ended up grabbing it anyway.

The mountains were such a great getaway. And even though our weekend vacation was only 4 days long, we definitely loved it all.
